Our Story & Mission

Saddle Peak Ranch is an equine rescue dedicated to rehabilitating horses from kill pens, owner surrenders, and abuse or neglect situations. We provide compassionate medical care, rehabilitation, rehoming, and lifelong sanctuary for horses in need.

In addition to rescuing and rehabilitating horses, we work alongside local law enforcement and animal welfare agencies to assist in abuse, neglect, and seizure cases, helping ensure horses are removed from unsafe conditions and given the care they deserve.

We also provide permanent sanctuary for senior horses and those with chronic medical conditions who require specialized lifelong care, while working to place adoptable horses in safe, loving forever homes.

Our mission is to help every horse heal, regain trust, and live a safe, well cared-for life.

We often team with our sister rescue, FORD's Equine Sanctuary in Northern Michigan, to help horses needing sanctuary in the Midwest and Eastern states.
